Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd. is seeking a Field Asset Officer to join a growing independent utility network owner. This field-based role focuses on inspecting and auditing assets to ensure technical, safety and regulatory compliance.

The position is primarily gas-focused, with desirable experience across electricity or wider multi-utility infrastructure. Travel across the Midlands and North of England is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in gas distribution, utility construction, operations or asset assurance.
• Knowledge of gas distribution engineering up to 7 Bar.
• Experience with RAMS, COSHH and Permits to Work.
• Experience with technical inspections, audits or contractor supervision.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit newly constructed utility networks prior to adoption.
• Carry out assurance checks on existing assets.
• Ensure contractor works comply with technical and safety standards.
• Review RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Identify defects, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and internal teams.
• Complete accurate inspection and audit documentation.
• Travel across the region, visiting multiple sites per day.
