Job summary
NHS Property Services is seeking a qualified Asbestos Surveyor to join our national Asbestos Team covering East and West Midlands. You will undertake asbestos reinspection checks and Refurbishment & Demolition surveys across a diverse NHS estate, producing high-quality survey reports to support safe decision-making.
This is a mobile, field-based role with four days per week on-site and one day dedicated to reporting and planning.
Qualifications
- BOHS P402 Proficiency Certificate or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Surveying is essential.
- Knowledge of asbestos surveying principles, HSG264 and CAR 2012.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
- Experience in healthcare or public sector environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct asbestos reinspection checks across the NHSPS estate.
- Complete R&D surveys for planned and reactive projects.
- Inspect buildings to identify ACMs and collect samples.
- Produce survey reports and ABRP risk profiles.
- Advise on asbestos management and liaise with stakeholders.
