Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is recruiting an Archaeologist for Needham Market. The role forms part of the Fieldwork department on a full-time fixed-term contract with immediate start.

The package includes a salary of £28,532–£29,255, relocation to Stow Market later in the year, and a generous benefits package. Applicants should have experience in commercial archaeology and be prepared for away projects with accommodation provided.

Qualifications

• Core skills include manual excavation, recording features and artefacts.
• Experience in commercial archaeology is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and undertake away work.
• Familiarity with CA procedures and field methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fieldwalking, evaluation and excavation on projects.
• Record data with pro-forma sheets, drawings and photos.
• Recover artefacts and samples per CA procedures.
• Train Trainee Archaeologists and support the project team.
• Maintain organized admin records and health and safety compliance.
