Job summary

British Gas is hiring a field service engineer to repair and maintain a range of white goods across Peterborough, Epsom, Croydon and London. You will visit customer homes with a focus on first-time fix and high-quality service, supported by managers and fellow engineers.

The role requires at least 2 years of on-the-job experience, strong customer service, and safe working practices. Base salary is £40,133 with an uncapped OTE; £47,000 is a realistic expectation through our field reward scheme.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience repairing/maintaining white goods.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose defects and achieve first-time fix.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer homes to repair and maintain dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators, and other appliances.
• Work safely to ensure high-quality service with minimal callbacks.
