Position: Field and Workshop Engineer

Rate/Salary: £35,500

HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy, and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

The position involves working both in the workshop and in the field, servicing, repairing, overhauling, and replacing high-speed engines. This business is expanding its High-Speed repairs division, so workload is expected to grow. Currently, the role involves approximately 25% fieldwork, with plans to increase this over time.

The ideal candidate will come from an HGV, forklift, generator, marine, or agricultural background with experience in engine overhauls.

Responsibilities:

  • Work both in the workshop and in the field on planned and reactive tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with engine overhauls, servicing, and repairs.
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback on work suggested or completed.
  • Diagnose engine faults and perform diagnostics.
  • Remove and replace engines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Passport
