About the Role

The Workshop Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s and Altegra owned equipment working primarily in the Workshop. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance using correct tools and equipment, following approved techniques.
  • Ability to use standard computer applications, internet, and manufacturers service portals
  • Operate and test vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
  • Familiar with manufacturers products
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on forklift trucks and other Machinery in site based and field environment.
  • Complete all reports and administration required in a timely manner and to a high quality.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Complete all training programmes to further develop skills and knowledge in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, ensures correct use of tools and vehicles at all times..

  • Previous experience of working in an engineering capacity.
  • Full Driving Licence

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required
  • Self Motivated
  • Ability to work well with others in a workshop environment and on customer sites if required.
