Job summary

Marsh in Norwich is seeking a Fiduciary Credit Controller to join our Fiduciary team. The role combines insurer account management, timely premium payments, and accurate reconciliations, working in a hybrid setup with at least three days in the office.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, resolve billing issues, monitor aged debt, and support process improvements using AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year's credit control experience.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve complex account queries.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and other business systems.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Confidence using technology and a willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools and processes.
  • Experience within the insurance, broker, financial services, or fiduciary sector is a plus.
  • Experience with insurer accounts, reconciliations, or premium and claims processing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage insurer accounts, ensuring premiums are paid accurately and on time.
  • Monitor and collect outstanding claims funds, ensuring timely receipt and allocation of cash.
  • Perform regular reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of fiduciary records.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, conducting detailed analysis to identify root causes and deliver effective solutions.
  • Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders, providing a high level of service and support.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurers, brokers, and colleagues across the business.
  • Attend and actively contribute to meetings both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Monitor aged debt and outstanding balances, taking action to minimise risk and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and utilise technology, including AI tools, to drive efficiency and accuracy within the function.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and fiduciary procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Fiduciary team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Norwich office and is a hybrid position, with a requirement to work at least three days per week in the office.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of insurer accounts, ensuring the prompt payment of premiums, timely collection of claims funds, and accurate reconciliation of accounts. You will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, helping to resolve queries, investigate billing issues, and maintain excellent financial controls across the business.

The Fiduciary Credit Controller position is ideal for someone with previous credit control experience who is looking to develop their career within a global, market-leading insurance broker.
