Job summary

ZenaTech is seeking a Telecom Designer on the outskirts of Manchester to design and develop fibre-optic networks and telecom infrastructure. You will produce high-level and low-level network designs, CAD drawings, and design documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

The role requires experience in telecom or fibre-optic network design, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a good understanding of FTTP/FTTH networks.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecom or fibre-optic network design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Knowledge of FTTP/FTTH networks and telecoms infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret site surveys and drawings.
• Familiarity with GIS tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design fibre-optic networks, including FTTP/FTTH and related infrastructure.
• Produce high-level and low-level network designs, CAD drawings and specs.
• Develop underground and overhead layouts including ducts, chambers, poles and routes.
• Review site surveys and translate findings into practical designs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation and as-built drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards and Openreach PIA requirements.
