Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Fiber Optics Associate Manager for the United Kingdom Parkwide Systems team, based in Bedford. The role focuses on designing, delivering, and overseeing campus-wide fiber optic and structured cabling infrastructure across Universal Creative projects.

You will bridge Parkwide Systems with IT, engineering, facilities, and contractors to ensure scalable, resilient connectivity and compliant installations across attractions and back-of-house facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Experience managing medium- to large-scale facility or campus infrastructure design and build-outs, preferably within attractions or large public venues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools; ability to produce as-built drawings and trackers.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of parkwide fiber-optic and structured cabling infrastructure.
• Define schedules, budgets, risk management, and project reporting for fiber backbone, horizontal cabling, equipment-room, pathway, and distribution workstreams.
• Coordinate fiber routes, pathways, telecom rooms, data-center interfaces, and rack layouts across disciplines.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and report variations promptly.
• Coordinate contractors to keep installation on schedule and maintain quality.
