Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end design, standardization, and localization of Advanced Work Packaging across regional data centers. You will drive modular design, leverage model-based data, and set standards for field assembly while partnering with BIM, design, and construction teams.

You will translate site data into actionable improvements, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate technical tradeoffs with executives and engineers alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in technical program management, advanced work packaging (AWP), or capital project engineering in data centers or modular construction environments.
• Experience in data integration, analytics, dashboards, and reporting to quantify execution trends.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical author and owner for master AWP blueprints, schemas, and configurations.
• Localize and improve site-specific Field Assembly Plants (FAPs) and IWPs, converting legacy documents into executable baselines.
• Partner with regional BIM/design leads to verify localized AWP designs match baseline modular schemas before sign-off.
• Apply DFMA principles to shift field delivery to standardized modular assembly.
• Maintain standardized work packages integrating construction, procurement, and commissioning for a unified lifecycle.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Data Science, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in technical program management, advanced work packaging (AWP), or capital project engineering within data centers, technical manufacturing, or modular construction environments.
• Experience in data integration and analytics, developing or maintaining data automation models, relational tracking systems (such as SQL, BigQuery, spreadsheet software/Sheets automation, or Apps Script), and reporting dashboards to identify and quantify execution trends.

Preferred qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in 3D/4D visual planning tools, ACC, BIM 360, Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent construction and design data environments.
• Understanding of modular design, factory-built integration, and DFMA processes, with a track record of transitioning traditional construction processes to standardized assembly methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, with a proven capability to manage organizational boundaries, drive vendor agreement, partner with regional construction managers, designers, and estimating/controls teams.

The Field Integration & Assembly (FIA) Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) Lead is a critical, technical, program management role responsible for the end-to-end design, standardization, and physical localization of all AWP assets across our regional data center portfolio. Serving as the technical asset originator, this role owns the creation of master blueprints and the detailed physical localization of Field Assembly Plants (FAPs). A core pillar of this position is driving our modular design philosophy shifting the execution focus from traditional construction to standardized, assembly-centric manufacturing techniques and technologies. By leveraging model-based data and site analytics, the AWP Lead will establish a standard process to analyze and trend on-site performance, identifying field constraints, and translating raw site data into quantified, actionable improvements.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Ireland: €118000 - €120000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Netherlands: €130000 - €133000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles to shift field delivery from traditional stick-built construction to standardized modular assembly.
• Maintain standardized work packages integrating construction, procurement, and commissioning for a unified lifecycle approach.
