Children First is hiring a FGDM Coordinator on a maternity cover for our East Ayrshire team. You will lead family‑led FGDM meetings, ensuring children’s views are central, and provide high‑quality support to families, children and communities while upholding our rights‑based approach.

Ideal candidates will have a social work qualification, safeguarding experience, and a strengths‑based, trauma‑informed approach. We value equity and a supportive, inclusive workplace and welcome diverse applicants.

Competenze

Diploma in Social Work or relevant professional qualification (SCQF level 9).
Experience in statutory settings and with children, including safeguarding and wellbeing concerns.
Experience working with volunteers and students; restorative and trauma‑informed practices.

Mansioni

Lead on the facilitation of Family Group Decision Making, gathering views and arranging family‑led meetings with children’s views at the centre.
Provide professional FGDM to babies, children, young people and families, promoting participation.
Promote Children First values in FGDM practice and participate in service delivery alongside managers.
