Job summary

JD Sports in Newry is seeking a Seasonal Store Colleague to support our peak trading period with friendly, proactive service. You’ll help customers, replenish stock, maintain presentation, process transactions and work with colleagues to run the store smoothly.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the festive season is required, with a supportive team and opportunities to develop retail skills. No formal experience required, just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude; training provided on

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Able to follow processes and maintain attention to detail.
• Retail experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive and welcoming experience for customers, providing support and product information where required.
• Support the achievement of store and team objectives through excellent customer service and product knowledge.
• Replenish stock and help ensure products are available and presented in line with company standards.
• Maintain high standards of presentation across the shop floor, ensuring fixtures, displays and stock areas remain clean, organised and well maintained.
• Complete operational tasks including processing transactions, stock handling and preparing deliveries.
• Use in-store technology and systems to support customer enquiries and daily store operations.
• Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day running of the store.
• Support with additional duties and tasks, as reasonably required, to contribute to the successful operation of the store during peak trading periods.
