The Gleneagles Hotel in Edinburgh invites applications for a festive Host to join our nine-week seasonal team, delivering memorable guest experiences during the festive period.

We offer an on-target earning potential of £18.18 per hour (base £13.23 plus gratuities £4.95). No prior experience is required; candidates aged 18+ are welcome. Availability from 2 November to 4 January inclusive is essential.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated festive Host who shares our commitment to excellence and love for creating unforgettable guest experiences, to join us for a nine-week period.

The festive season awakens something truly extraordinary at Gleneagles Townhouse. This year, our vibrant enchanted forest narrative evolves and envelops 39 St Andrew Square as the city's most coveted social sanctuary transforms into a celebration of festive surprise and delight. Welcoming members, hotel guests, and the city's brightest spirits for an indulgent and unforgettable escape in the heart of Edinburgh.

The on target earning potential for this role is £18.18 / per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of £13.23, plus a qualified estimate of £4.95 per hour in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

No prior experience is required. For the majority of roles, we're looking for candidates aged over 18, however there are a few exceptions.

• Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the estate that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role
• It is estimated that in 2026, our part-time employees can expect to receive around £4.95 in addition to their hourly rate.
