Job summary

The Commercial Hotel in Wishaw invites you to join a friendly Bar Team dedicated to delivering a great dining experience for guests. You will be preparing cocktails, serving drinks and light food, and supporting service on busy nights.

We offer earnings above government rates, with a 10% service charge and tips kept by the team, plus free meals and other benefits as part of a supportive hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard service on busy shifts, including preparing cocktails, hot drinks, coffees and cakes.
• Assist with serving meals from the Kitchen and help with seating and chairs for larger groups.
• Maintain cleanliness, multitask across front-of-house duties, and training where needed.

On a quiet shift they can be found doing all the little jobs like cleaning, maintaining or training – the jobs that keep them up to date and our venues at the standard they should be. On a busy evening or weekend service they are wherever they are needed, making delicious cocktails, preparing hot drinks, serving coffees and cakes, running meals from the Kitchen or getting extra chairs for a large group.

Understanding the importance of teamwork, our team are great at multi-tasking, being experienced in all aspects of the Bar they know the hard work and attention to detail required.

All of our teams are highly engaged with all teams in the venue as well as the wider group and take a keen interest in the direction and journey of the business as a whole.

Skill and experience are necessary to do this job, but more than anything else, we want someone who shares our vision of a hospitality industry that is better and sees themselves being part of the team who can make this happen!
