Position Summary

As a true ambassador for Fenty Beauty by Rihanna in Selfridges, the Assistant Manager will assist the Counter Manager in managing the counter in Selfridges. This role is responsible for managing Fenty Beauty Retail Artists and ensuring the team represents the brand according to guidelines. The assistant will help plan staffing rotas, drive sales goals, manage testers and samples, execute in-store and out-of-store events, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The position reports to the Counter Manager and involves educating, coaching, and developing team skills.

Job responsibilities

• Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of full/part-time Makeup Artists, including staffing, coaching, and setting sales goals.
• Lead by example in product knowledge and customer service to build a loyal clientele and drive sales.
• Manage sales goals and payroll to meet financial targets.
• Implement an effective clientele program to increase loyalty and sales.
• Create in-store activations aligned with the brand calendar for product launches and key periods.
• Develop strategies to grow the brand within the store.
• Build strong relationships with Selfridges management and internal teams to drive results and share best practices.
• Plan and develop the sales, artistry, and customer service skills of the team.
• Manage budgets for testers and samples, ensuring timely orders.
• Represent the brand professionally, ethically, and in accordance with guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with team and store partners.
• Maintain excellent personal grooming standards.

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in luxury retail, high-level makeup artistry, at least 2 years managing or in a similar role. Strong strategic and business acumen, clientele strategy experience, leadership skills, and financial goal achievement. Excellent customer service, organizational, and commercial awareness. Personal attributes include confidence, professionalism, passion for beauty, adaptability, energy, results-driven attitude, and knowledge about Rihanna.
