We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.
About the role:
As a Fencing labourer you will be assisting the Lead Fencer in carrying out the construction, repair, and maintenance of various types of fences and gates, such as wood, metal, and chain link. Your tasks include measuring and marking fence lines, digging postholes, assembling and installing fence sections, and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will also assist in preparing sites for installation, clear debris, ensure the ground is level, and clean up after the job is done. This is a physically demanding role and requires working outdoors in different weather conditions and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Criteria:
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
