An established industry player in repairs and maintenance is seeking a dedicated Fencing Labourer to join their team. We are the largest provider of repairs and maintenance, and regeneration services across the UK. Mears provides tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations, and Housing Associations.
As a Fencing Labourer, you will assist the Lead Fencer in constructing, repairing, and maintaining various types of fences and gates, such as wood, metal, and chain link. Your responsibilities include measuring and marking fence lines, digging postholes, assembling and installing fence sections, and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will also prepare sites for installation, clear debris, ensure the ground is level, and clean up after completing the work. This role is physically demanding and requires working outdoors in different weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
All roles require candidates to have entitlement to work in the UK. Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for more than 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
