Job summary

Sense is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join our small residential team in Seaton, Devon. You will be awake through the night to keep the people we support safe and comfortable until the morning team arrives.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided; the role focuses on care, comfort, accurate handover notes, and building trusted relationships. Benefits include holiday entitlement, pension contributions, DBS, discounts, and access to training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and comfort to residents during waking night shifts.
  • Keep residents safe and monitor wellbeing until morning handover.
  • Maintain accurate records and handover notes for the day shift.
  • Support residents with personal care and daily routines if needed.

£13.50 per hour (inclusive of allowance)

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our small, close-knit residential team in Seaton - one of Devon's most beautiful coastal towns, where the seafront is just minutes from the door.

Hours: Permanent, 10 hours per week

Pay: Sense is offering £13.00 per hour plus an additional night allowance.

Role: Waking night shifts mean you are awake and actively supporting throughout the night, ensuring the people we support are safe and comfortable until the morning team arrives.

Experience: Full training is provided, so no previous experience is needed - just the right values and a genuine desire to make a difference.

This role in Seaton might include supporting people with:
  • Personal care and hygiene

  • Keeping accurate records and handover notes for the morning team
