We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Complex Healthcare Assistant to support a six-year-old girl with complex clinical needs in a home and community setting.
The service user has a non-traumatic spinal cord injury and is currently receiving hospital care, with discharge home anticipated. This is an opportunity to support her transition from hospital to home, helping establish familiar routines and providing consistent, person-centred care.
You will work closely with the family, hospital professionals and school staff to ensure her safety, comfort and wellbeing.
A driving licence is preferred but not essential.
You will be required to complete three days of package-specific training, including virtual and face-to-face sessions. Additional training, potentially up to five days, may be required depending on your experience and the Clinical Care Manager's assessment of your competencies.
You will be offered between three and five shadow shifts to help you become familiar with the service user, family, care routines and clinical requirements. Shadow shifts are paid at a lower rate.
We are looking for someone who is caring, dependable and confident in delivering complex clinical care. You should be able to build trust with a young service user and her family while providing safe, consistent support during this important transition from hospital to home.
If you have the relevant tracheostomy and complex care experience and are looking for a rewarding full-time opportunity, we would love to hear from you
