About the Person We Support

We support an outgoing young lady in her 30s who enjoys outdoor walks, feeding ducks, pub lunches, music, sensory play, and spending time with her family. She has a learning disability and autism, and we are looking for motivated support workers to help her live independently in her own home on a 2-to-1 basis.

You will need to provide emotional reassurance during challenging behaviours. Full positive behaviour support training will be provided, but previous experience is essential.

The lady enjoys being out in her car, and a Motability car is available. Drivers are encouraged to apply, and we offer support with driving lessons for aspiring drivers.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Supporting her to live her life according to her choices and achieve her goals.
• Engaging in autism-specific activities with clear objectives and outcomes.
• Supporting through intensive interaction techniques, such as mirroring actions and body language (training provided).
• Assisting with personal care, medication, food shopping, and domestic tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Shift Patterns

• Day Shifts: 7am – 10pm
• Waking Night Shifts: 10pm – 7am
• Includes a mix of weekdays and weekends.
• Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support work-life balance.
