Job summary

A supportive care organization in the UK is seeking a Female Personal Care Assistant to help individuals with physical and learning disabilities in Larkhall. Overview

Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical and Learning Disability living in the Larkhall area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one care and assistance within the home and in the community, including attending to personal care and participation in social activities.
  • Attend to personal care needs (shaving).
  • Assist with medication.
  • Prepare meals and healthy snacks.
  • Support walking, gym and participation in physical activities.
  • Undertake household shopping and collect prescriptions.
  • Support any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
  • Driver essential and you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
Qualities and qualifications
  • Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
  • Favourite activities include going out for meals, gentle walks, cinema and socialising.
  • Interest in Wrestling, Boxing, MMA and Football.
  • Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Hours and pay

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility):

Recruiting for one position. Guaranteed permanent position of 21 hours per week.

Days and times: Wednesday and Friday 11:30am-1:00pm; 3:30pm-9:00pm; Thursday 12:30pm-7:30pm.

Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour.
