Job summary

GCIL South Lanarkshire is seeking a friendly Female Personal Assistant to support an independent-minded woman in Strathaven. You will provide one-to-one care at home, at day centres and in the community, helping with personal care and daily living activities to promote independence.

You will drive to appointments, assist with mobility and exercises, prepare meals, and support participation in social activities.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly and caring nature.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work with a dog in the home.
• Proactive and innovative approach to support.
• Experience not essential as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive to appointments, social groups and activities.
• Move and assist with wheelchair and related equipment.
• Assist with meals and healthy snacks.
• Support exercises and physiotherapy with safety.
• Assist with personal care needs as required.
• Support daily living activities to promote independence.
