Job summary

Disability North in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE3) is seeking a part-time carer to support a young girl with autism, selective mutism and sensory processing disorder. You will build a trusting relationship, adapt activities, and ensure safety during outings and at home.

The role requires up to 20 hours per week in school holidays, with a pay rate of £15.90 per hour. A genuine occupational requirement is that the holder must be female, under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.

Location: Newcastle upon (NE3)

Hours of work: up to 20 hours per week in school holidays, mum is flexible with the hours

Rate of pay: £15.90 per hour

My daughter is a kind and gentle girl who loves animals, especially cats. She loves going to cat cafés, zoos and anything animal related. She is a confident swimmer and loves to go to the pool to swim, going to the trampoline park or to the cinema to watch the movies. At home she likes jigsaws, puzzles, watching movies and baking. She also enjoys arts and crafts activities led by someone else.

My daughter has autism, selective mutism, sensory processing disorder and night time epilepsy. We are looking for someone who has the time and patience to get to know her and build up a relationship
