Job summary

Blue Sky Brokers is seeking a caring Female Personal Assistant to support an adult living at home. The role involves personal care, practical support, and assisting with appointments to help maintain independence.

The successful candidate will provide physical and emotional support, promote wellbeing, and respect dignity and choices. The position is part-time with a 35-hour week and may include weekends as agreed.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with personal care, including washing, dressing, continence care and assistance in the bathroom.
• Assist with getting in and out of bed, moving from chair to bed, and transfers where required.
• Prepare and support with breakfast and lunch.
• Prompt and support with medication and arranging prescriptions when needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing.
• Support the employer in maintaining independence and daily routines.
• Travel with the employer to appointments and accompany on regular visits to medical facilities.

Job description

A caring, patient, and reliable Female Personal Assistant is required to support an adult to live independently in their own home. This is a varied role providing personal care, practical support, and assistance with attending appointments and maintaining independence.

The successful applicant will provide physical and emotional support, helping to promote wellbeing while respecting the employer's dignity, choices, and independence.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide support with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, continence care, and assistance in the bathroom.
• Assist with getting in and out of bed, the bath (where applicable), the electric wheelchair, and the car. The employer is able to assist with transfers.
• Prepare and support with breakfast and lunch.
• Prompt and support with medication.
• Collect prescriptions when required.
• Carry out light household tasks, including washing and light cleaning.
• Drive and accompany the employer to GP, hospital, and other appointments, including regular appointments in Aylesbury.
• Provide companionship, reassurance, and support with mental wellbeing.
• Support the employer to maintain their independence and daily routine.
• The employer uses an electric wheelchair and has a stair lift in the home.
