Job summary

Voyage Care in Johnstone is seeking a genuine and caring Female Night Support Worker to join our residential service. You will help people gain independence, assist with personal care and encourage community engagement in a supportive team.

Hours include days or nights on a 2 week rolling rota, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends. Applicants should have a full UK driving license, be resilient and flexible, and experienced with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.

Qualifications

• The role requires holding a full UK driving license and being resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is essential.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life within a dynamic team.
• Teach life skills, assist with personal care and encourage access to local communities and social activities.
• Engage in activities with the people we support, such as bars, cinema, and games.
• Contribute to improving confidence and independence to meet personal goals.

Typical Shifts are: Days or Nights, 2 week rolling rota.

Our residential service in Johnstone is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values.
