Job summary

Draycott Nursing & Care in Windsor is seeking a female live-in carer to support one of our clients. You will live with the client for the duration of your rota, with shifts ranging from 10–12 hours per day and breaks arranged if needed.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, experience in mental health care and handling challenging behaviours, and a compassionate, patient approach. Female applicants only due to personal care requirements.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (required).
• Proven experience in mental health care and working with challenging behaviours.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including spinal injuries.
• Confident and competent in manual handling techniques.
• Willingness to travel with the client.
• Female applicants only due to personal care requirements.
• Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day personal care and promoting independence.
• Offering emotional and mental health support.
• Assisting with moving and handling tasks as required.
• Observing and following care plans and safety policies.
• Maintaining accurate written notes using the care management app.
• Traveling with the client on trips away.
