Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with mental health and challenging behaviours, specifically self-harm.
  • Knowledge and good understanding of Jamaican culture.
  • Ability to set clear boundaries.

What will the job involve?

  • Assisting our people to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Offering stimulation and motivation through conversation and social activity.
  • Assisting with meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
  • Booking and attending healthcare appointments with our people.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the management team.
  • Maintaining records by keeping care plans and risk assessments up to date.

What you will possess

  • Previous experience working with mental health and challenging behaviours, specifically self-harm.
  • Knowledge and good understanding of Jamaican culture.
  • The passion to support people in their daily lives, promoting their independence.
  • Patience, care, and understanding.
  • Ability to set clear boundaries.
  • Outgoing, engaging, and enthusiastic personality.
