Job summary

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Clinical Fellow in Multimodality Cardiovascular Imaging. The 12-month fixed-term post commences September 2026 and provides competency in cardiac imaging across MRI/CT/echo with procedural planning and structural imaging.

The role offers engagement with seven imaging cardiologists and six interventional cardiologists, MDT participation, and opportunities to advance expertise within a leading NHS centre.

Qualifications

• Required medical/clinical qualifications and registrations.
• Experience in cardiac imaging and leadership in clinical settings.
• Accreditations in transthoracic echocardiography and TOE desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide multimodality cardiovascular imaging services.
• Work with TAVI/structural team and MDTs.
• Engage in research, education and quality improvement.
• Supervise junior staff and participate in education sessions.

Education

MBBCh or equivalent

Eligible for GMC registration

BS/E TOE accreditation

British society of transthoracic echo accreditation
