Job summary

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital is offering a Clinical Fellow in Multimodality Cardiovascular Imaging for 12 months starting September 2026. The role provides exposure to MRI, CT, echocardiography, and structural imaging with access to a large multidisciplinary team including imaging and interventional cardiologists.

The post is suited to post-CCT candidates with a specialist interest in cardiac imaging and involves collaboration with theatres, ITU and the valve service.

Qualifications

• MBBCh or equivalent.
• Eligible for GMC full registration at time of appointment.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Current ALS certification or equivalent.
• British Society of Transthoracic Echo accreditation or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside imaging consultants with educational supervision; plan tailored to experience.
• Engage in multimodality imaging including MRI, CT, echocardiography and structural imaging.
• Attend weekly MDTs for valvular heart disease.
• Participation in training for TOE and 3D post-processing.
