Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions are proud to partner with a leading UK law firm in Manchester to recruit Housing Disrepair Solicitors and Fee Earners. You will manage a caseload of pre and post-litigated housing disrepair matters for tenants from inception through to conclusion, within a supportive team and with clear progression paths.

The role covers claims under housing legislation including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, with a focus on compliance and delivering high-quality client care.

Qualifications

• Previous Housing Disrepair experience is essential.
• Ability to bill work at Grade B level or above.
• Experience handling your own litigated caseload.
• Case Management System experience (volume litigation experience highly desirable).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload and competing priorities.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
• IT literate and confident using legal technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of pre and post-litigation housing disrepair files.
• Drafting and reviewing Letters of Claim.
• Assessing housing records and evidence to establish liability.
• Reviewing surveyor reports and expert evidence.
• Calculating and collating special damages.
• Negotiating settlements and conducting mediations.
• Issuing and progressing Court Proceedings.
• Liaising with Counsel, clients, experts and third parties.
• Maintaining accurate case records through the firm's Case Management System.
• Delivering exceptional client care throughout the claims process.
• Adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.

Time Recruitment Solutions are proud to be working as a preferred recruitment partner with a leading UK law firm, currently seeking experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitors and Fee Earners to join their growing teams in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded practice with a longstanding reputation within the housing litigation sector. The firm continues to experience significant growth and is looking to strengthen its Housing Disrepair department with ambitious and motivated legal professionals.

The Opportunity

Successful candidates will manage a caseload of pre and post-litigated housing disrepair matters, acting on behalf of tenants and handling claims from inception through to conclusion. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team environment, benefiting from ongoing development and a clear route for progression.

The role will involve handling claims brought under relevant housing legislation, including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, while ensuring compliance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions Claims.
