We seek a sharp, organized, and passionate Features Editor to join our UK-based team. You will drive daily editorial output, working with the Editorial Director and Staff Writer to deliver timely, authoritative, and engaging content, focusing on the UK and European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit high-quality news stories, features, and opinion pieces with speed, accuracy, and editorial judgment.
• Source, conduct, and publish interviews with industry leaders.
• Collaborate with freelance writers and contributors.
• Monitor industry events, press releases, and market trends to pitch relevant stories.
• Ensure content adheres to editorial standards, style, SEO, and audience engagement.
• Represent GamesIndustry.biz at events, conferences, and press briefings (occasional travel).
• Work with the Editorial Director to shape coverage priorities and maintain quality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (2-3 years minimum) in editorial roles, preferably within games, tech, media, or B2B journalism.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong news judgment and attention to detail.
• Deep interest and understanding of the games industry, including key players, issues, and business models.
• Comfortable conducting interviews with senior professionals and crafting compelling narratives.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently aligned with editorial goals.
• Familiarity with content management systems, SEO principles, and social media platforms.

Not Required but Helpful:

• Experience in B2B media or trade publications.
• Industry contacts across development, publishing, and related sectors.
• Multimedia skills (podcasts, video, audio editing) are a plus.

Work Environment:

• Standard full-time schedule, Monday to Friday. No weekend or odd hours expected.
• Occasional travel to conferences or events.
• Physical requirements include typical office activities and occasional travel involving lifting or navigating venues.
• Work model may include 2-3 days/week in London offices or remote work elsewhere.
