Our mission is to inform, challenge, and connect the global games business community. We’re seeking a passionate, organized Features Editor to join our UK-based editorial team. You will drive daily editorial output, working closely with the Editorial Director and Staff Writer to produce timely, authoritative features that reflect the pulse of the global games industry, especially focusing on UK and European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit high-quality news stories, features, and opinion pieces with speed, accuracy, and editorial judgment.
• Source, conduct, and publish interviews with industry professionals.
• Collaborate with freelance writers and contributors.
• Monitor industry events, press releases, and market trends to develop relevant story ideas.
• Ensure content adheres to editorial standards, style, SEO, and audience engagement.
• Represent the publication at events, conferences, and press briefings (occasional travel may be required).
• Work with the Editorial Director to shape coverage priorities and maintain quality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in editorial roles, ideally within games, tech, media, or B2B journalism.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading skills, with a strong news sense and attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of the games industry, including key players and issues.
• Ability to conduct interviews with senior professionals and craft compelling narratives.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with content management systems, SEO principles, and social media platforms.

Additional Helpful Skills:

• Experience in B2B media or trade publications.
• Industry contacts across development and publishing sectors.
• Multimedia skills (podcasts, video, audio editing).

Work Environment & Culture:

• Standard full-time schedule, Monday to Friday; no weekend or holiday work expected.
• Occasional travel for events or conferences.
• Physical activities include typical office tasks; travel may involve lifting or navigating venues.
• Remote work options available, with in-office presence 2-3 days/week for London residents.
