Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of Further Education providers across South Wales to appoint experienced Lecturers in Childcare. The role focuses on delivering engaging childcare and early years teaching, supporting learners, and helping them progress to employment or further study.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or a relevant discipline.
• Strong professional experience within childcare or early years.
• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, child development and early years practice.
• Experience supporting learners, apprentices or trainees is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Teaching/training qualification desirable.
• Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Childcare and Early Years teaching
• Support learners working towards relevant vocational qualifications
• Deliver both theoretical and practical learning activities
• Share current knowledge of early years practice and child development
• Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback
• Support learners preparing for placements and future employment
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement
• Support learners with SEN/ALN or behavioural needs
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
