Job summary

CV Technical in Andover is seeking a hands-on Fault Finding & Reliability Engineer to diagnose electrical, mechanical and control-system faults, identify root causes and improve machine reliability. You will work with production and engineering teams to implement fixes that prevent recurrence and minimise downtime.

You’ll develop maintenance schedules, analyse fault trends and contribute to plant improvements, with a 40-hour week (days) and occasional travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer with fault-finding and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical and control-system faults.
• Willingness to travel to other sites on occasion.

Fault Finding & Reliability Engineer

£45,000 - £55,000 | Andover | Days | 40 hours

We're looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and getting to the root cause of issues. You'll be working with machinery, identifying recurring faults, fixing them properly and finding ways to prevent them happening again.

The Role

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control-system faults
• Carry out root cause analysis and investigate recurring failures
• Improve machine reliability and reduce downtime
• Recommend and implement preventative maintenance, upgrades and modifications

We're Looking For

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience with machinery, automation, control systems or industrial equipment
• A methodical approach to diagnostics and root cause analysis
• Experience with wiring, control panels and machine assembly
• Knowledge of sensors, motors, drives, relays and machine-control components
• Basic C++ knowledge is desirable, or willingness to learn
• Preventative maintenance/improvement experience is advantageous
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Full UK driving licence

Package

• £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience
