Bath and North East Somerset Council is recruiting a Fathers’ Practitioner to support delivery of Bright Start Children’s Centre services across Bath and North East Somerset. The role focuses on engaging dads and male carers, delivering evidence-based interventions through home visiting and group work to improve family outcomes.

You will work in partnership with health services, early years settings and voluntary organisations, contributing to whole-family assessments and coordinated support,

Qualificações

• Have a relevant qualification in a children and families related discipline.
• Have experience of undertaking assessments and delivering targeted interventions.
• Have experience of working with children, families and complex needs.
• Have experience of engaging fathers or male carers.
• Demonstrate knowledge of child development, attachment, safeguarding and Early Help practice.
• Have experience of multi-agency working.
• Be able to build effective relationships with families using empathy and professionalism.
• Work well as part of a team to deliver the BEST services for local families and so improve their lives.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver evidence-based interventions through home visiting and group work.
• Engage with fathers, expectant fathers and non-birthing partners.
• Support delivery within Bath and North East Somerset area.
• Collaborate with health services, early years settings and voluntary sector organisations to contribute to whole-family assessments, planning and coordinated support.
