Job summary

GLL is recruiting for a Graduate Trainee Manager intake. The two-year programme fast-tracks graduates into Assistant Manager roles with the potential for a permanent position on completion.

The scheme runs from September 2027 across hub locations in the UK, including London, with opportunities to work through partnerships. Participants undertake frontline placements, supervisory roles in year 2, and two strategic placements to support business projects and HR experience.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification (sports, leisure or business-related qualification is an advantage).
• Customer-focused, business-driven and flexible.
• Willing to travel within the UK and commit to a career in leisure management.

Responsibilities

• Complete key frontline placements (concierge, fitness instructor, lifeguard) in year 1.
• Complete supervisory placements (Duty Manager & Supervisor) in year 2.
• Undertake two strategic placements to support business projects and HR activities.
• Complete statutory, management, and modular training throughout the two years.
