Frontiers in the UK is seeking a Farm Trader to join the Southern Commercial Team in the South of England on a permanent full-time basis. The role focuses on selling grain, seeds, fertilisers and related services to farmer customers and expanding Frontier’s market presence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in agriculture, solid commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills and the resilience to succeed in a sales-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in the agricultural sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and awareness.
• Ability to build outstanding professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• A high level of initiative with strong planning and organisational skills.
• Personal ambition, tenacity and resilience to succeed in a sales role.
• FACTS qualification would be an advantage but training could be provided.

Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive knowledge of Frontiers products and services.
• Promote, manage and develop Frontiers business, products and services.
• Apply knowledge of grain markets and advise on management strategies.
• Purchase Grain, Oilseeds and Pulses from farmer customers and arrange storage/handling if required.
• Advise and sell seed, fertilisers and other inputs to farmer customers and develop sales opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with experienced commercial managers and colleagues.
• Identify opportunities with new customers and develop relationships with existing customers.
• Prospect customers for Frontier.
