Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a capable Farm Engineer to maintain, repair and develop on-farm machinery and equipment in a busy agricultural environment. This hands-on role covers workshop and field work, indoors and outdoors, with peak-season demands.

You will carry out servicing, diagnose faults, replace components, assist with fabrication, and ensure safety and accurate documentation. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and legal right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with agricultural or similar machinery.
• Proficient mechanical knowledge with some electrical and pneumatic understanding.
• NVQ Level 2 or Scottish NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification required.
• Legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs across agricultural machinery.
• Diagnose faults and provide timely fixes to minimise downtime.
• Inspect, remove and replace components in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Support machinery builds, modifications and improvements within the workshop.
• Test mechanical, low-voltage electrical, and pneumatic systems and record findings.
• Maintain clear documentation and plan workload during busy seasonal periods.
• Report faults, breakdowns or safety concerns promptly.
