Job summary

MorePeople are recruiting for a Farm Engineer near Ipswich, Suffolk to maintain a range of farm machinery and equipment across seasons.

You will diagnose faults, perform servicing, keep records, and work with the farm team; some fabrication and welding may be required; full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an engineer within agriculture, plant, or a related mechanical field.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of farm machinery, vehicles, and equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Ensure equipment is serviced and ready ahead of key seasonal operations (drilling, harvest, etc.)
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts stock
• Work closely with the farm team to minimise downtime during critical periods
• Some fabrication and welding work as required

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a progressive agricultural operation, working across a range of machinery and equipment to keep the farm running efficiently through every season.
