Job summary

Tottington High School, part of Shaw Education Trust, is hiring a Farm Assistant to provide 3 hours of weekend cover per week, with flexible hours between 8:00am and 4:00pm. The role supports the Farm Manager during term time, with potential additional hours.

You will care for alpacas, sheep, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens and may engage in educational activities. We value reliability, independence and responsibility, and offer training and a supportive environment as part of a Trust

The weekend day and working hours can be agreed flexibly with the other weekend team member, with hours falling between 8.00am and 4.00pm, giving you the opportunity to find an arrangement that works well for you.The role will provide important weekend support and help to ensure continuity of cover when the Farm Manager takes annual leave during term time, there may also be opportunities to work additional hours during term time, although these will be subject to the needs of the farm and cannot be guaranteed.This is a role suited to someone who is reliable, confident working independently and happy to take responsibility, as it includes key holder duties and lone working.
