Job summary

Shropshire Wildlife Trust is seeking two Farm Advisors to support the Shropshire Hills Landscape Connections programme. You will work with farmers to deliver Whole Farm Plans and Farm Water Audits, identifying opportunities to improve climate resilience while supporting wildlife and sustainable land management.

The role involves developing a Climate Resilience Audit, engagement with landowners, and guiding restoration projects that strengthen the landscape.

Qualifications

A degree or equivalent in agriculture or related countryside discipline.
At least three years' experience delivering agricultural advice and/or farm management support.
Experience of carrying out farm surveys and producing Whole Farm Plans or similar management plans.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Shropshire.

Responsibilities

Deliver Whole Farm Plans and Farm Water Audits to farmers and landowners.
Develop and test Climate Resilience Audit methodology combining farm planning and climate science.
Engage farmers through site visits and collaborative work to identify environmental improvements.
Support river and wetland restoration projects contributing to landscape resilience.
