Job summary

ARM is seeking a Fanuc Robotics Training Specialist in Filton to deliver and develop training for operators and engineers working with Fanuc robotic systems. The role involves tailoring content to beginner through advanced levels, creating offline training materials, and delivering hands-on sessions within a Defence and Aerospace context.

The contract runs for 4-6 months with rates Inside IR35. Strong knowledge of Fanuc systems and proven training experience are essential to tailor instruction

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fanuc trainer, instructor, or SME.
• Strong working knowledge of Fanuc robotic systems: operation, programming, setup, troubleshooting.
• Ability to create training materials for varying experience levels.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and applying robotics training to production.
• Experience delivering both generic and process-specific training.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in classroom and hands-on settings.
• Experience in manufacturing or shop-floor environments.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and leaders to define training needs.

As the Fanuc Robotics Training Specialist, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. You will be involved in:

• Review provided training topic lists, objectives, and target audience requirements
• Develop or adapt training content, exercises, training aids, and delivery approach to match the requested training type
• Adjust the level of instruction for beginner, intermediate, or advanced participants
• Develop process specific training topics, aid and exercises (blasting, welding, inspection)
• Develop basic troubleshooting guidance and operator-level problem identification
• Develop training materials to be used offline by trainee in preparation of in-person training (in the format of presentations, screen recordings, notes)
• Apply understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes to tailor instruction to the operational environment
• Deliver in-person training sessions for operators and engineers interfacing with the robotics systems in the MRO network
• Recommending training sequencing or modularisation based on participant experience level and process complexity
• Providing follow-up clarification sessions, refresher sessions, or focused coaching for specific teams or applications

Your skillset may include:

• Experience as a Fanuc trainer, instructor, or subject matter expert
• Strong working knowledge of Fanuc robotic systems, including operation, programming, setup, and troubleshooting
• Ability to create training materials to be used for trainees with different experience levels, from basic users to advanced users
• Understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and the ability to connect robotics training to real production applications
• Experience delivering both generic/foundational training and customized, process-specific training
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly in classroom and hands-on settings
• Experience working in manufacturing or shop-floor environments
• Ability to collaborate with operators, engineers, manufacturing leaders, and other stakeholders to define training needs and tailor content
• Strong documentation and training material preparation skills
