Job summary

The Northumberland Family Time Service is seeking a Family Time Worker to support children and families across Northumberland. You will supervise family time, observe interactions, record developments and provide practical parenting advice while maintaining professional boundaries.

Candidates should have at least NVQ3 in working with children and families or equivalent, experience direct work with vulnerable families, flexibility for evenings and weekend work, a driving license and access to a

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in working with children and families or equivalent experience.
• Experience of direct work with children, their families and carers in a statutory or voluntary agency which provides services to vulnerable children and their families.
• Be flexible to work evenings and occasional weekends, including after 6 pm.
• Have access to a vehicle and a driving licence.
• DBS check, references and health clearances required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise family time for allocated families and observe interactions.
• Record interactions and parenting dynamics to support case planning.
• Provide advice on parenting when requested and intervene to ensure child safety.
