Job summary

Yellow Door is seeking a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist or Systemic Practitioner to support service users experiencing family issues after domestic or sexual abuse. The role offers 15 hours per week with flexible working hours, permanent contract, and opportunities for sessional contracts.

You will be an experienced and qualified Therapist, with training in family therapy or systemic practice, and skilled in trauma-informed approaches to improve wellbeing and family dynamics.

Qualifications

• Experienced and qualified Therapist with training in family/systemic practice.
• Background in working with adults and/or children who have experienced abuse and trauma.
• Knowledge of evidence-based approaches for domestic and sexual abuse.

Responsibilities

• Provide systemic therapeutic intervention to service users.
• Support service users with family relationships following abuse in a trauma-informed, time-limited manner.
• Engage in voluntary or statutory roles and contribute to safeguarding.

Yellow Door is an amazing charity that is quite literally changing lives for the better across the Hampshire area, with a team of around 100 staff and volunteers, working together to prevent and respond to domestic and sexual abuse. We provide a diverse and innovative range of services to local people of all ages and genders. Last year we engaged with over 4,500 clients to provide crucial support, information, and in some cases a lifeline. Right now, our services have never been more in demand, so our volunteers and supporters are absolutely critical to us. Family & Systemic Psychotherapist or Systemic Practioner

This role will support our service users who are struggling with their family relationships following domestic and or sexual abuse. Offering evidence based, trauma informed, time-limited systemic support to improve wellbeing, family dynamics and communication.

Hours: 15 hours per week. Working hours negotiable

Contract: Permanent (subject to successful probationary period)

Sessional Contract options available

You will be an experienced and qualified Therapist, with additional training in family therapy or systemic practice having worked in voluntary or statutory roles and skilled in working with adults and or children who have experienced abuse and trauma with knowledge of evidence-based work for domestic and sexual abuse. You will provide systemic therapeutic intervention to service users. This might suit a practitioner in training to become a family therapist, and or someone who has completed the first two years of systemic training.
