Job description

Job Title: Family Support Worker

Authority: Sefton Council

Contract details: 36 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 9am - 5.30pm, Friday 9am - 4pm.

Sefton Council is looking for a Placement Support Worker to support carers by completing direct work with children and facilitating group activities for Children Social Care.

JOB PURPOSE

To contribute to the delivery of an effective Children’s Social Care Service as part of a departmental team, continuously improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.

To be responsible for providing practical and social support for children, young people, and families. This includes contributing to care packages, recognising serious risks, and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people to enable informed decisions.

To contribute to managing the reputation of the service and the Council, complying with national and service procedures and guidance.

ABOUT YOU

Level 3 qualification related to working with Children and Young People.

Must be a driver and have access to own car.
