Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting for a Family and Pupil Support Worker at St Anthony's Catholic Primary School, Preston. The role involves targeted emotional and social development support for children, mentoring and coaching to improve wellbeing and attendance.

The post is part time, term time only, with full-time equivalent salary quoted. DBS and safeguarding checks apply, with pro-rata pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent (or substantial relevant experience)

Responsibilities

• Provide early intervention family support to improve outcomes for children and families, aiming to reduce the need for specialist or statutory involvement.
• Signpost and connect families, children, and young people to local and national support services.
• Manage a caseload of vulnerable families, delivering targeted interventions to promote positive parenting and students' social and emotional development.
• Deliver one-to-one and group-based support to students to promote resilience and positive relationships.
• Support the Family Support Team in strategic service development and lead on specific projects.
• Work with school staff, professionals and external agencies for a coordinated approach to family and student support.
• Co-facilitate parenting workshops and student programmes promoting resilience and emotional regulation.
