Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Family Support Practitioner to provide information, advice and guidance to expectant parents and families with children up to 19 (25 with SEND). Based at Sherwood Family Hub, Clipstone, you will coordinate support across services to ensure families receive the right help at the right time.

The role involves delivering family support services, completing assessments and developing personalised plans, with strong safeguarding and record-keeping.

As a Family Support Practitioner, you will provide essential information, advice, and guidance to expectant parents and families with children up to the age of 19 (or 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Your role will ensure families receive the right support at the right time, from conception until their child reaches adulthood.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need

• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or an equivalent qualification.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• A minimum of two years’ experience working with children and families, demonstrating your commitment to their well-being.
• Knowledge of child development, safeguarding practices, and the importance of early intervention.
