Base pay range

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join their team in Liverpool, Merseyside.

This role is suitable for a newly qualified or recently qualified Family Solicitor looking to develop their career with a leading law firm.

Person Specification & Requirements:

• Experience advising on various Family law matters
• Strong time-management skills and ability to manage own caseload
• Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge and experience of Legal Aid
• Genuine passion for Family law
• Commercially minded
• Panel membership or progress towards it is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve fee targets by working towards individual and departmental goals as set by the Head of Department
• Handle Private and Public Family matters, including Domestic Abuse, Non-molestation, CCMS applications, amendments, and POAs
• Arrange and attend client meetings, ensuring professional service and excellent client care
• Negotiate with clients and professionals to meet objectives
• Attend court hearings, prison visits, police stations, and other off-site requirements
• Work on Legal Aid cases
• Manage electronic portals and case documentation
• Research and analyze legal documents and case law to ensure accurate advice
• Build relationships with clients and external industry contacts
• Stay updated with legal developments through journals and reports
• Contribute to firm growth by identifying new business opportunities
• Supervise and train trainee solicitors and paralegals, providing guidance and support
