Job summary

Henderson Scott is recruiting a Family Solicitor to join its highly regarded Family team. Opportunities are available across York, Lincoln, Hull, Grimsby and Louth, offering high-quality private family work in a supportive environment.

You will manage a diverse caseload including divorce, financial remedy, private children disputes, and related matters, working closely with colleagues to develop the department and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Family Law.
• Experience managing a Family Law caseload.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
• Empathetic and commercially aware approach to cases.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Resolution membership or Panel accreditation advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across divorce, financial remedy, private children disputes and related matters.
• Advise clients with practical, client-focused guidance during significant life events.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to grow the Family Law practice.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload, including:

• Divorce and separation
• Financial remedy matters
• Private children disputes
• Cohabitation and separation agreements
• Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
• Domestic abuse and protective injunctions
• Child arrangements and parental responsibility matters

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the wider business, building lasting client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of a successful department.
