Job description

Opus People Solutions, on behalf of Walsall Council, has an exciting opportunity for a Family Safeguarding Therapist.

Job Details
  1. Length of assignment: 3 Months
  2. Hours per week: 37
  3. Hourly rate: £30-£40
  4. Remote/Office based: Hybrid (all therapeutic appointments will be face-to-face)
Role Overview

We are recruiting therapists to work within our Family Safeguarding Mental Health Team. You will deliver psychological and systemic interventions with parents and carers in Walsall, both on a 1-2-1 basis and in groups. Your focus will be on engaging with adults with complex needs, particularly regarding their mental health and well-being, while collaborating with the wider social care system involved with the family.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct assessments, formulate treatment plans, and provide evidence-based, time-limited interventions.
  2. Identify the most appropriate mental health or psychological intervention for each individual, developing bespoke interventions based on parental mental health needs.
  3. Apply professional knowledge and practice skills related to therapeutic intervention models such as trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional therapy, and systemic family therapy.
Qualifications and Experience

We seek candidates with relevant experience and qualifications in delivering therapeutic interventions across various specialisms, including trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EMDR, functional family therapy, and systemic family therapy.
